<p>Contract</p><p><strong>(Montclair, NJ)</strong> <p>Look North Inc. is an award-winning website creative and technology studio located in Montclair, NJ. We design and build websites and online communication tools for a wide array of clients including those in the business-to-business, consumer and non-profit sectors. We have a proven, effective and efficient process and use some of the latest tools and techniques available. We are preparing for a couple of exciting upcoming projects and are looking for a talented front-end developer to work closely with our small team.</p>
<p><strong>Job Responsibilities include: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build HTML/CSS templates from Photoshop files</li>
<li>Integrate into ExpressionEngine or other site management application</li>
<li>Integrate with third-party APIs including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Google Maps</li>
<li>Assist in new implementing features and content across our clients sites</li>
<li>Some interface design when necessary</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> Specific Skills Include: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator</li>
<li>Strong handing HTML and CSS skills including cross-browser compatibility and SEO optimization</li>
<li>Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery including writing scripts from scratch</li>
<li>Experience with CMS systems such as ExpressionEngine or Wordpress</li>
<li>An eye for design with regard to user interfaces and content delivery</li>
<li>Ability to effectively communicate both with our internal teams and our clients</li>
<li>A passion for the web and a desire to be part of a fast-moving, dynamic company that will treat you like one of our own. Sometimes the hours are long, but the final products are projects we're proud of.</li>
</ul>
