<p>Meetup is looking to add a smart, creative, and experienced UI designer to our User Interface team. This is a mid- to senior-level position on a collaborative, supportive, relaxed and motivated team. You'll work with a smart, dedicated engineering team to design the next generation of the site. While Meetup is established and successful, we're still growing quickly -- enjoy the challenges and opportunity of working with a startup with the benefits of a mature company.<br /><br />As a UI Designer, you will:<br /><br /></p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with both engineers and product managers</li>
<li>Design products of the highest quality with usability in mind</li>
<li>Define and maintain the user interface for new and existing products</li>
</ul>
<p><br />An ideal candidate has:<br /><br /></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong portfolio showcasing comprehensive skill of core design principles</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years experience</li>
<li>Strong, clean visual design sense </li>
<li>Proficiency in Photoshop, Fireworks and Illustrator</li>
<li>Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript</li>
<li>Strong understanding of typography, color, usability and other design principles</li>
<li>Understanding and enthusiasm for the latest in web-based design and technology</li>
<li>Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to prototype your work in HTML/CSS/JS a strong plus</li>
<li>A strong attention to detail and a feeling of pride and ownership over the quality of our product</li>
<li>A passion and desire to work at a company trying to change the world</li>
</ul>
